Trailways Counseling offers to Law Enforcement and other First Responder Agencies cutting edge services that embody and reflect the unique aspects of the job, the working personality, and the working identity of the first responder. Our programs include comprehensive strategies that address the agency, individual and family wellness in the face of a complex set of factors unique to these lines of work. Our team has experience in working with first responder agencies and provide the most current strategies and treatments for trauma related incidents at the organizational, individual and family levels.
Our Services
Defusings & Debriefings
On-scene and off-scene response immediately following a critical incident.
Group debriefings held within 48-72 hours post critical incident, group debriefings include all involved personnel of an emergency services discipline, as well as outside agency invitees as determined appropriate by the Agency.
Onsite or offsite opportunities for individuals, post critical incident, to seek support due to a recently experienced traumatic event.
Officer Assistance Program & First Responder Assistance Program
Confidential and offsite individual counseling sessions with personnel or their family members experiencing individual or family dysfunction because of work related or personal stressors.

Yoga for First Responders (YFFR)
Yoga for First Responders (YFFR) at Trailways Counseling is a practical, no-nonsense wellness service built specifically for first responders. This is not traditional yoga. There is no chanting, no hands-on adjustments, and no expectation to "relax" or talk about feelings.
YFFR is designed to help the body and nervous system recover from the constant stress, hypervigilance, and adrenaline that come with the job.

No yoga experience is required.
What to Expect
Sessions focus on tools that are useful on and off duty:
Simple movements to release stress held in the body
Tactical breathwork for regulation and control
Practices that help the nervous system shift out of constant “high alert”
Clear explanations of why these tools work
Participants can use a mat or a chair. Everything is optional and choice-based.
