JoAnn has an extensive history of working with trauma in a variety of different systems and is specifically trained and certified in a modality called Brainspotting. JoAnn is well versed in providing psychotherapy with cognitive and brain-based approaches. Currently, she is utilizing Brainspotting to work with first responders (law enforcement, dispatchers, paramedics, fire fighters, therapists, social workers, crisis workers, etc.) to process and discharge trauma. At this time JoAnn is only accepting First Responders as new clients who are interested in Brainspotting for in person services in Tomah and Reedsburg. She also provides these services through Telehealth.
JoAnn is also trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing(CISD) and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). She is available to do Defusings and Critical Incident Debriefs for your agency as well as annual wellness checks for your staff.
