Sarah Wheeler, MA, LPC

Sarah is a licensed professional counselor who has spent her career focused on helping individuals and families overcome life's obstacles and achieve mental wellness.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Sarah went on to earn a Master's degree in counseling from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. She began working in community mental health, where she gained valuable experience working with a diverse range of consumers. She found that no single approach or modality was right for every consumer, and will pull from a variety of techniques and theories to create individualized treatment plans that meet each client's unique needs.

Sarah's approach to therapy is holistic, focusing on the mind-body connection and the interplay between thoughts, emotions, and behavior. She believes that everyone has the capacity for change and growth, and works with her consumers to help them build on their strengths and overcome their challenges. Sarah is committed to helping others achieve their full potential. She sees therapy as a collaborative process and works to empower her consumers to take an active role in their own healing journey. She is invested in her consumers' well-being and feels honored to be a part of their journey towards healing and growth.

In her free time Sarah can often be found with her family and adorable dog, watching interesting and random TV shows and videos. She also enjoys traveling and attending professional wrestling shows. Fun fact: Sarah is likely one of the few people in Wisconsin that enjoys winter and snow!

Sarah provides outpatient services virtually and at the Waunakee office and Comprehensive Community Services to Columbia, Dane, Dodge and Sauk counties. Sarah is accepting new patients.
