Kristen Likely, Intern
Hello all! I’m Kristen, currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UW Superior. With an Undergraduate degree in Psychology and Human Development.
My background has been in providing career counseling services and am currently working with our military and families to provide growth opportunities.
I believe that each person’s journey is unique, and I strive to create a space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered.
As I begin my journey as a clinical trainee my desire is to assist individuals and families in healing through traumatic/stressful life experiences, parenting/coparenting challenges and supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. I have an interest in working with youth experiencing (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, abuse/neglect, and behavioral difficulties.
I’m here to meet you where you are and help you discover pathways to greater well-being. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you, and I am under the supervision of experienced counselors as I continue my journey toward full licensure.
In my down time I enjoy spending time with my family and creating memories. I enjoy live concerts. The little things in life bring me the most joy, like a hot cup of coffee on a cold day or listening to music just a little too loud. I am always excited to start a new home project only to recognize Pinterest fooled me again, but with the right tools I can accomplish anything.
