Kayla Thomas, LCSW (she, her, & hers)

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kayla (she, her, & hers), is interested in addressing issues related to multiculturalism, interpersonal relationships, life-skills development, phase of life concerns, self-worth, and identity development. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Kayla enjoys working with children and their families, along with individuals who are navigating significant transitions in life and who experience Severe Persistent Mental Illness. She intentionally uses a strengths based perspective to empower consumers to build off of their strengths and natural abilities. Kayla believes that building and growing a therapeutic relationship through client-centered work can make all the difference in supporting consumers on their life journey.

Kayla completed her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Family Studies from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. She completed her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a focus in Mental Health. Her field placement for clinical experience was completed at Mendota Mental Health Institute.

In her free time, Kayla loves to travel, get outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.

Kayla provides Comprehensive Community Services to Columbia county. Kayla is not currently accepting new patients.
