Karla Saylor, BS (she, her, & hers)

As a Community Rehabilitation Specialist, Karla Saylor brings a rich and diverse background to her work supporting individuals and families. With a degree in Secondary Education and licensure in both English and Spanish, along with a Reading Specialist Licensure, Karla combines strong educational expertise with a deep commitment to human connection.

Drawing on 30 years of teaching experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of dedication to helping others learn and grow. Trained in Trauma Informed Care and the Yale RULER approach to emotional intelligence, Karla specializes in helping clients build emotional regulation skills and develop the confidence needed for independent living. She provides hands-on support with independent living tasks such as learning to cook, cleaning, and budgeting.

Grounded in a philosophy of unconditional positive regard, Karla approaches every relationship with compassion, patience, and respect — believing that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported on their own path toward growth.

Outside of work, she treasures time spent with her husband, their four adult children and their pets. She finds joy in gardening, hiking, and connecting with nature.

Karla provides Comprehensive Community Services to Columbia and Sauk counties.
