Justin Kietzman, LCSW
Justin completed his bachelor’s degree in social work through Minnesota State University Moorhead. He then earned his master’s degree in social work from University of North Dakota and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Justin has experience working with people with developmental disabilities, working in the CPS system, working with families, and years of case management and psychotherapy. Listening and learning about each person’s story is something Justin really focuses on. Theoretical approaches are something clinicians are grounded in and put focus on when working with people. While Justin utilizes a variety of approaches from CBT, person-centered, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, trauma – informed, and many others. Focusing on the stories a person gives to situations also referred to as narrative therapy is one he focuses on with many. The power of our story or how our experiences are told is something we have control of even when it may not seem possible. Life has many phases to it and focusing on empowering, enabling, or repairing an area is something we all are continuously doing. His goal for each person he meets with is to allow them to have a space to be themselves, receive acceptance, and to continue to be the person they are meant to be.
Justin is a husband and father of three wonderful children. Bringing an understanding to the roles we have as people is something he brings to therapy. He moved to Wisconsin in 2018 from North Dakota and loves what this state has to offer. Getting outside if possible for sessions is something people have really enjoyed doing with him. There have been numerous times where sessions have consisted of hiking state parks, going kayaking with people, or enjoyed simply going to get some popcorn or ice cream.
Justin provides Comprehensive Community Services to Columbia county. Justin is accepting new patients.
