Austann Abbott, LCSW

Austann obtained her Associates Degree in Human Services in 2015 and her Bachelor of Science in Social Work Degree with a Business Admin Minor in 2019. She then earned her Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice Social Work in November of 2022. Austann enjoys working with individuals from different backgrounds and building strong connections with the individuals she works with. She has over ten years experience providing care for children, adults, and families in multiple facets such as in-home healthcare, adolescent group home settings, child protective services, and managed care. Specializing in Somatic Trauma Therapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology allows her to add to a foundation in traditional talk therapies, which creates a well-rounded mind/body approach to improving one's mental health. Vastly aiding in decreasing physical symptoms that often get overlooked, as well as repairing our nervous systems and attachment wounds; practicing from the premise that we are all capable of living a happy, healthy, and safe life regardless of our past.

Austann comes from a rural community, but has lived and traveled to different parts of the world. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, as well as spending time outside, playing sports, reading, and writing poetry. Empathetic, genuine, patient, and humorous are all adjectives Austann would use to describe herself, and her style of practice.

Austann provides outpatient services virtually and at the Waunakee office and Comprehensive Community Services to Columbia, Dane, Dodge and Sauk counties.
